A major event aimed at advancing innovation in women’s health is set to take place in London this October. SiS: London, organised by the Women’s Health platform SiS, will gather leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors from across the sector for a day of discussion, networking, and collaboration. The event, scheduled for 9 October at the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill, is expected to attract both established figures and emerging innovators, with a focus on driving tangible progress in women’s health.
SiS: London will cover four key areas of business growth: Seed, Growth, Expansion, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with experts and listen to panel discussions featuring some of the leading voices in the industry. A lineup of prominent speakers includes Hannah Samano, founder and CEO of Unfabled, Dierdre O’Neill, co-founder of Hertility, and Shobhna Ladva, Head of Women’s Health UK at Bayer.
An evening networking event will allow guests to build relationships with fellow innovators, with the aim of fostering collaboration and partnerships that could fuel the future of women’s health solutions.
A highlight of the event is the SiS: Solve pitch showcase, powered by Barclays. Eight selected entrepreneurs will present their pioneering innovations in women’s health, demonstrating how their ideas address current unmet needs. In addition, the event will offer practical insights during a “Lunch and Learn” session with Rachel Murphy, founder of The Grafter, where she will share her journey from business concept to exit.
Sufanah Hamza, Program and Content Lead for SiS, expressed her excitement about the event, saying, “With such a rich assortment of speakers from across the industry, we’re beyond delighted to premiere our game-changing event in London this October. We’ve worked closely with Women’s Health innovators to design a programme that addresses the needs of today’s founders, giving them the tools, advice, and opportunities to help scale their businesses.”
Hamza also noted that SiS: London stands out by focusing on the present rather than hypothetical future innovations. “There’s often a tendency to think about ‘innovation’ as something for the future. SiS: London will instead spotlight the cutting-edge technologies already in development and making an impact now. Our event will help future or aspiring founders navigate their journey with insights from those leading the charge in Women’s Health,” she added.
Supported by industry giants such as Merck, Ferring, and Goodwin, SiS: London aims to serve as a catalyst for growth and investment in women’s health. The event comes at a crucial time, as the sector has seen rapid expansion, with the UK experiencing a 544% growth in women’s health solutions. This surge in interest is predicted to close a significant gap in women’s health provision, potentially boosting the global economy by $1 trillion by 2040.
SiS: London will also mark the first in a series of international events, with a second gathering planned for New York in spring 2024.
With the potential to connect entrepreneurs and investors and open new opportunities for innovation, SiS: London is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of women’s health.
