Moda Living, the UK’s leading rental brand, has teamed up with Olympic silver medallist Dan Wallace to offer its residents access to elite-level swimming training as part of its growing range of wellness-focused amenities. The partnership, formed with Wallace’s global swimming platform Swimmr, aims to enhance both fitness and water safety across Moda’s UK neighbourhoods.
Residents from Brighton to Edinburgh will benefit from exclusive discounts on Swimmr’s online courses and training plans, alongside opportunities to join local swim clubs. The collaboration will also see the introduction of resident-led swim groups and a focus on identifying safe swimming spots in cities across the country.
This move is part of Moda Living’s broader commitment to fostering healthy lifestyles within its rental communities. Moda already provides its residents with a range of perks, including 24/7 gym access, free fitness classes, and a regular programme of wellness events.
The initiative was officially launched at a sea swim event on Brighton Beach, where Dan Wallace coached local residents, athletes, and swimming enthusiasts. Wallace, who swam the English Channel solo earlier this year, said he is excited to share the benefits of swimming with Moda’s residents.
“Swimming has given me opportunities, friendships, and memories that I could never have imagined,” Wallace said. “Through this partnership with Moda, we want to make swimming accessible to everyone, helping people improve their technique while promoting water safety.”
Wallace’s platform, Swimmr, offers online courses that cater to swimmers of all levels, from beginners to those training for endurance events like triathlons and marathon swims. His aim is to remove barriers to entry, providing Olympic-level coaching and techniques that anyone can follow at their own pace.
For Moda Living, the partnership is another step in creating a holistic living experience for its residents. The company’s focus on wellness is driven by the needs of its tenants, with 92% stating that wellbeing is a priority for them, and more than half expressing interest in professional fitness training.
Lydia Eustace, Director of Wellbeing at Moda, described the partnership as a key component in building healthy, connected communities. “We’re delighted to be working with Dan and Swimmr to offer our residents the benefits of swimming, not just for fitness but for mental health as well. The positive impact of swimming on stress relief and mindfulness is well-documented,” Eustace said, citing Swim England research that shows 74% of swimmers report reduced stress and tension after swimming.
Moda Living operates eight build-to-rent communities across the UK, offering high-quality homes alongside a range of services including mental health support, pet-friendly spaces, co-working areas, and resident events. The company’s commitment to wellness extends to its staff, all of whom receive mental health first aid training.
With plans to deliver 24,000 homes across several rental platforms, Moda Living continues to set the standard for modern rental living in the UK, blending lifestyle, community, and cutting-edge services.
