The town of Nailsea (population about 20,000) grew from a small village in the 1980s. Many of the inhabitants work in the city of Bristol that is about 12km away.
Although much of the countryside was used for building new houses, some areas are still relatively undisturbed and remain as havens for wildlife.
Some of the nature reserves around Nailsea are open to the public. The website Nature Reserves in Nailsea in Wikipedia gives information about Nailsea wildlife and some of the nature reserves. Why don’t you visit some of them?
